So after more than a year of not posting, I've decided to revitalize this blog. It's a new year, after all, and my new year is going to include a lot more commitment, hard work, and dedication for my writing. I will be posting about my journey on this blog, along with the occasional poem or short story.
For any of you new to this blog, my name is Hannah, but I go by Kyrie. I'm a 16-year-old junior living in the mid-western United States.
Right now, I'm working on two projects. The first of these is a novel called The DayBringers. I started this novel during NaNoWriMo 2012, finished it in May 2013, and have been editing it off and on since then. Current wordcount is about 64,000. This is a science-fiction novel about five genetically-modified teenagers who have been tasked with saving the world from evil aliens.
My second project is a novel called Silent Castle, and it is still in the planning stage. It is based off the story of Sleeping Beauty, told from the perspective of Piper, Aurora's older sister. When the spell is cast and Aurora falls asleep, it is Piper and her friend Jack's job to scour the country for a way to break the spell.
I also am adminning a facebook page called Young Writers, which you should all check out if you haven't.
